Teach 313 is Hiring A Consultant!

We are looking for an exemplary consultant with a passion for Detroit, all of our schools, and teachers to join the Teach 313 initiative. This person will work alongside the Teach 313 Manager in implementing vision and strategy. They will also work directly with colleges and universities, community organizations, local businesses, and beyond—all to increase teacher recruitment and retention. 

We are looking for an exceptionally organized and results-driven person who is able to interface with several organizations with unwavering energy and focus on teacher recruitment and retention. This person must also handle multiple projects and tasks at once as well as work autonomously and independently.  

Experience

  • At least three years of work experience with evidence of an exemplary proven track record of results

  • At least two years of experience serving as the lead contact, organizer, and point-person for events and efforts, including crisis management

  • At least two years of experience working in a mission-driven organization committed to education, equity, and/or justice

  • Proven track record of exemplary decision-making and judgment while leading education/community initiatives

Education 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

Core Responsibilities

  • Support the recruitment of 100 teachers to Detroit by September 2020

  • Engage 2,000 teachers in Detroit through listening sessions, networking events and social

  • Support the day-to-day work of the Teach 313 Manager

  • Work alongside the communications team to ensure the vision and mission is reaching all areas and communities

  • Support the planning and execution of the National Educators Summit
