In 2022, Strategic Community Partners began offering affordable and equitable fiduciary services for Black-led organizations that are historically and systematically looked over and passed over for funding opportunities--or taken advantage of with predatory fiduciary rates. Committed to a three-year pilot of offering fiduciary services, to-date, SCP has served as a fiduciary for nearly 50 Black-led organizations--primarily focused on Detroit-grown and based and Detroit-serving organizations, yet reaching across our city, region, and state.

To-date, SCP has served as a fiduciary for 10 national organizations across our nation. In our pilot phase, we wanted to get it right and best support our fiduciary organizations, so we charged a 0% fiduciary fee--in addition to technical assistance, executive coaching and advising, and office and programming space at no cost.

As we head beyond our three-year pilot, our nonprofit fiduciary service fees scale from 1-5%, allowing nonprofits to retain as much of their funding as possible for their critical work. With that fee, SCP will offer capacity building, technical assistance, community- and coalition-building with our grantee organizations to create additional opportunities for them to scale and strengthen their work.
