Christopher Anuzis is a dedicated nonprofit professional with more than 12 years of experience in program management and fundraising. Mr. Anuzis began his career as an AmeriCorps member with Playworks DC, where he implemented play-based social/emotional development programs at an elementary school in northeast DC. Following his two terms of service, he rose through a variety of program management roles with Playworks DC, ending his time with the organization as the senior program role within the region. Mr. Anuzis most recently worked as the Director of Development & Communications for another afterschool program, The Fishing School.

Mr. Anuzis has expertise in developing tailored fundraising strategies, conducting comprehensive research on potential funders, and crafting compelling grant proposals, stemming from his experience managing multiple major grants, including maintaining grant compliance for funds from local education agencies and government entities. Recently relocated to Detroit, MI, Mr. Anuzisprovides consultative services for a range of nonprofit programs including proposal research and development, fiscal year planning & revenue projections, program planning, campaigndevelopment, and more.

Mr. Anuzis holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Service and a Master’s degree in Public Administration – Nonprofit Management, both from American University.
