COVID-19 Update

As an organization rooted in community, SCP has been closely monitoring the evolving situation regarding coronavirus (COVID-19)  and its impact. With the health of partners and community members in mind, we have decided to temporarily suspend the use of our space for outside events and coworking until further notice.

Welcome to the SCP Community Center!

Our building is more than just an office space. It serves as a hub where our partners, community members, youth and educators can access resources, explore, learn, engage and progress together. Located in Detroit’s Fitzgerald neighborhood, an area with a long legacy of Black excellence and entrepreneurship that goes back to the mid-19th century, the SCP Community Center represents a quarter-million-dollar investment and features a robust collection of facilities and services, including conference rooms, a multi-purpose meeting space, co-working desks, a cafe and kitchen and more.

 

What does the SCP Community Center Offer?

Floater Coworking Space

Flexible workspace is available to local non-profit organizations and community-based organizations. We do not offer dedicated desks or private office spaces at this time, but our coworking space has capacity for four organizations with a maximum of two people per organization (eight maximum).

To apply for a coworking membership, complete the short questionnaire linked below and a member of our team will reach out to you!

 

Conference Rooms

The SCP Community Center features two medium sized conference rooms perfect for off-site meetings and team events. Both rooms feature Smart TVs for projection, movable chairs, outlets and have a maximum capacity of 8 people.

Event Space

The SCP Community Center is available to rent for private and public events, meetings and workshops. The space features modular furniture that can be configured into several layouts to fit your event needs.
